During the Furniture Fair in Milano there were plenty of connected events all throughout the city. We tried to check out all of them, but only managed to participate in a few. Here is an interesting table design that we happened to come across while casually strolling through the design events in Milan. This unusual but very cool looking item was probably meant to be a coffee table, however its size exceeds the patterns. We really liked its black and white finish- which makes it easy for it to be placed in a variety of arrangements- and we loved the originality of the stacked layers. This sort of coffee table could really spice things up in a modern living room.

As we already stated, Milan Furniture Fair was full of ideas that we so eagerly captured. Here is a really cool alternative for a bathroom mirror. Occupying the same amount of space, but with a lot more functionality, this bathroom shelf can also become a towel or clothes hanger when needed. So simple and yet with a daring practicability, the hanger also features a mirror and a storage place for perfumes and other small accessories. Its white finish makes it perfect for any modern bathroom, big or small. Still, we think a smaller version would have even more success. What do you think of this design? Do you find it to be practical or a bit exaggerated ?

House M comes from Caramel Architects and is located in Linz, Austria. The first striking thing about this house is its exterior design: two facades have a hermetic appearance in order to prevent passers by from looking inside, while the other two feature windows from floor to ceiling. This design allows the building to receive plenty of natural light throughout the day, which is just one of the factors due to which this construction can be called highly economical and ecological. House M is built from prefabricated materials and has cellulose-fiber thermal isolation. The kitchen and dining rooms are spacious and open areas and offer great views of the near by pond.

The Hollywood sign is a symbol of the famous star city and is probably one of the few landmarks known throughout the Globe. But what most people don’t know is that lately it is going through a series of issues concerning the land it is placed on and the money the property involves. This is probably why Christian Bay – Jørgensen, owner of Bay Arch, came up with such a crazy idea that it may just come true. He suggested turning the sign into a hotel by doubling the letters and allowing guests to be accommodated within the characters. If this is going to be put to practice, we imagine it will become a very successful business. So bring on the crazy and original ideas!- via Arch Daily
