Limited edition golden Aston Martin appreciates the automotive splendor

In the luxurious world of automobiles, there lies a cadre that appreciates the sculptural elements of the fine engineering through their expression on canvas for rest of the world to treasure its lasting effect. Swiss artist Dante belongs to one of those cadres and his limited edition DB5 is sure to drive the collectors and enthusiasts to the Top Marques show in Monaco as this 1:4 scale sculpture goes on display next month. Using Aston Martin’s classic model as the basis, Dante has finished the sculpture in gold, and comes on a polished, piano black plinth, complete with their own lighting system. Priced at $135,000, these sculptures are limited to just 10 units.

Hummer hums with a gunshot!

As we hear the Hummer’s song going silent with the collapse of GM’s deal to sell the oversized SUV to a Chinese manufacturer, the king of the road won’t die without a fight. In a new effort to keep the masculinity alive on the roads, Lynch Hummer, the brand’s largest U.S. Hummer dealer, is offering a Browning Citori White Lightning Shotgun worth $2000 for every unit sold. Seems like an odd angry shot with guns and cars, shooting and driving, however, Browning and Hummer are American icons and there’s no denying that these two are a natural fit. The new “tie-up” is sure to bring a lot of attraction to the machomachine, and did we mention senators.

Hummer gets a chrome treatment by German tuner CFC

As we hear the Hummer’s song going silent with the collapse of GM’s deal to sell the oversized SUV to a Chinese manufacturer, the king of the road would still be seen rolling out wearing a chrome suit trimmed by tuner CFC from Weilheim Germany. The machomachine has got its hood covered in a black carbon finish, and the side windows all the way to the rear windows are draped with CutLine ThermoTec. Featuring 28-inch TunerShop light-alloy rims along with mammoth-sized 325/35 R28 pneumatic tires by Kumho, LSD wing doors as well as a Fox sports exhaust system, the legendary vehicle would now boast a performance upgrade up to 480hp. Alfa Romeo celebrates centenary with limited edition collection

As the 80th Geneva Motor Show has opened its doors after two hard years for the industry, it’s obviously time for some celebration. This year’s party begins as Alfa Romeo celebrates its centenary with some brand new major licensing and limited editions. It’s obvious that you appreciate a fine Italian wine if you love a fine Italian automobile and this is the reason for Scrimaglio wines to mark their presence at the gala event. The collection includes lines from d ‘Jaggy attire for Alfa Romeo, glasses and bicycles from Italy Independent Company Ducale, and the line of Chopard watches for Alfa Romeo along with the set of Montegrappa pens. Tesla teams up with Tag Heuer for one-off roadster

For the well-accessorized man, nothing beats matching your watch to your car. And Tag Heuer is about to make that easier as they team up with Tesla Motors to produce a special edition of its Roadster. The collaboration has come up at a time when Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer is celebrating its 150th anniversary. To mark a new worldwide partnership between the two firms, the special one-off roadster will be making its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The roadster designed by Franz von Holzhausen features a unique interior that incorporates a specially designed center console to house a new watch concept to be revealed at the Basel, Switzerland show later this month.
