Porsche’s uncompromising passion for style and performance has taken the automobile manufacturer into the water. Quite literally, though. In a new venture, Porsche Design studio has unveiled a diving watch to make a comeback in the diver watch series after 25 years. The last time Porsche came up with a diver’s watch was 25 years ago, when company founder Prof. F.A. Porsche introduced the Ocean 2000 in 1983. The new masterpiece dubbed as P’6780 is Porsche Design’s innovative and rugged follow-up capable of reaching depths up to 1,000 meters (3,280 feet). Made in the stainless steel case, the P’6780 is equipped with a titanium bracket attached to the rubber wrist strap to make it shockproof and to avoid accidentally re-setting of the crown. The timepiece will be sold worldwide through Porsche’s own stores and exclusive retail outlets.
